What a year! It’s been crazypants!
I attended a workshop in March, several conferences/conventions, and published a short story collection as well as a new novel, the second in my werewolf series, The Hochenwalt Files.
The Boy is now 24; he’s living at home, taking some classes part time, and working full time. (As I write this, we are all anxiously watching the weather to make sure he makes it home okay; he’s working about a 1/2 hour from home. So, as I’m watching the weather and trying not to worry, I’m finally updating things here.
The Girl is 9, almost 10, and in the fourth grade. We run from soccer to softball, and she’s such a quirky, wonderful kid, and my absolute heart.
Hubby and I have now been together for 14 years. How did that happen? Still together. Still crazy. Still running like chickens with our heads cut off.
Just finished the novel I started several years ago, DEMON DEADLY SINS. When I say finished, I mean, drafted, edited, reviewed by a writer’s group, workshopped, poked with a stick, edited again, and done.
Submitted a short story reprint the other day for consideration for reprint next year. Trying to come up with a good cyperpunk short story idea for a potential call for submissions.
I also now have a new bookstore in my town! Contact the Sunshine Book Nook for book ordering! My books are available in their Local section! Honest, though, their ribbon cutting grand opening was this morning, and the turnout was fantastic Congratulations Chris and Don Flowers!
Working on appearances for next year while we try not to worry about the roads.
Happy holidays!
